What is additional verification?
Additional Verification is an extra identity authentication process designed by OKX to enhance account security and compliance. It helps ensure the safety of your account and assets.
Why is additional verification required for my account?
OKX periodically reviews accounts to meet compliance and legal requirements. Some users may be asked to update their personal account information and the system will automatically prompt them to complete additional verification.
How do I complete additional verification?
On the app
Go to Menu > Profile and Settings > Identity verification
Complete the required questionnaire or submit relevant supporting documents as requested by the system. These may include: proof of address, remote access notification, source of funds and wealth, etc.
Note: after you complete the submission, the review will be completed within 24 hours. During this period, kindly pay attention to notifications in your user center.
Why is additional verification triggered repeatedly?
To ensure the security of your account, OKX will check your account security periodically. Kindly follow the on-screen instructions to complete your verification information update.
What are the other types of additional verification or questionnaires?
Personal Experience Questionnaire
Based on compliance and regulatory requirements, you may receive a questionnaire requesting you to update your employment information for a specific period. Kindly fill in and submit the information according to your actual situation.

Please provide accurate personal information. Random or false entries won't be accepted and may prevent your submission from being valid. Providing real information helps keep your account data up-to-date and secure.
If you don’t have a current job, kindly select Unemployed and describe your situation in the questionnaire accurately.
Organization Location refers to the company’s registered location while work location refers to where you actually work.
If you work remotely or from home, kindly select Remote and enter your actual physical work location in the work location field.
Political Exposed Person (PEP) Information Questionnaire
To comply with compliance and regulatory requirements, OKX may send you a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) information questionnaire. Kindly select and submit answers based on your actual situation.
Its purpose is to confirm whether you or your relatives hold public positions, such as:
Government officials
Military personnel
Executives in state-owned enterprises
Senior officials in international organizations
